![]() Newly added to the Obringer National rotation for the 2001 Masters, Arbor Court came into being out of necessity due to the heavy rains that fell on Tournament Morning. Although commonly referred to as Upper Cedar during play that day, owing primarily to the failure of the Grounds Crew to post the identifying sign, Arbor Court actually is located above Upper Cedar. A Rose by any other name, Arbor saw its share of matches that day, including many hotly contested doubles contests. While the solitude of the court and its pond-side location allowed many to reach a state of relaxation unusual for Masters Saturday, the tricky terrain and elevation changes of this deceptive layout left others in need of therapy. When you head to Arbor, expect the unexpected. |
