O! BethlehemPosted 12/11/99by Rosanna HardelO! Bethlehem, how blessed you are For on that night many beheld your special star. Angels sang hallelujah and praise the Lord Heavenly choirs sang a joyous angelic cord. Jesus the Christ would be one name he would bear, The one who loves, the one that cares The king was born on that long age night not in a palace... But in a humble stable with the animals in sight. O! Bethlehem how blessed you are On that night so many saw the star. Shepherds feared, as Angels appeared Nothing like this had happened before "Fear not" was their heavenly song. "Unto you Christ the Lord is born." You will find Him wrapped in swaddling clothes Only a manger to lay that Holy baby toes. A simple family in God's Holy plan The Babe, the Savior of all sinful man. O! Bethlehem how blessed you are On that night so many saw the star. The star did guide those ancient Wise men To the City of David O! Bethlehem. They traveled to worship a new king The Holy One that the angel did sing. They found a humble babe born in a manger To His own He was a stranger. Shepherds feared, as the Angels appeared To announce the King's Holy Birth. Gold , frankscence and myrrh were the Gifts Wise men brought of royal worth. O! Bethlehem how blessed you are On that night so many saw the star. The King of both Heaven and Earth was born a humble birth. Our Lord was born in a stable. It's is Jesus's life story Not some legend or fable. O! Bethlehem, how blessed you are On that night so many saw your star.
