The "Wall of Death", also known as a "motordrome" or "drome", originated in the early 1900's.  They got their start as wooden board motorcycle race tracks that were very popular across the country.  The turns were steep and the track was fast, eventually leading to the sport to be banned after several fatal accidents including spectators.

Our Drome

Our drome is the most modern wall ever built.  While most dromes are constructed entirely of wood, ours is built using aluminum for all of the main supports.  The only wood is on the wall sections and the public stage platforms.  Our entire drome can be set up in a matter of hours and loads onto a 45' semi trailer that converts into our stage when set up.  This wall was built in 1980 by Steve Camber.  The wall has now been handed down to Camber's protégé "Reckless" Rene Regimbal, who has ridden walls for over 20 years since the age of 17.
