Chapter 6, Fuselage Assembly
4/26/03: Yes!!!, the parts have gone
3D. I am impressed at how nicely the parts fitted together. Disaster struck
when I had all parts floxed together and I realized I
had placed the instrument panel backward (don’t ask). While attempting to
remove the panel, it fell down against the backseat and they both went flat to
the floor with flox smeared all over. Well, so far
for being neat. Wife ran to the garage to check on all the cursing and
screaming and remembered the good old Kolb building days. At least one
advantage of sticking to slow hardener is that I had time to fix it all and
save the work.
Regarding cleaning the
smeared flow, MGS 285 cleans very nicely if you wipe most of it out with a
paper towel and then follow with a damp rag with a little of dishwasher
detergent.
