A marriage bond for William Trivitt and Lydia Latham was issued on March 29, 1817 in Rowan County.  Moses Estep was the bondsman, and the event was witnessed by R. Powell (41).

In May, 1866 and December, 1867, William was listed as a member of South Fork Baptist Church in Todd, North Carolina.  There were several mentions of a William Trivette in the South Fork records, but they did not differentiate between him and his son William Jr. (51).

The middle initial “M” comes from William Jr.’s entry in the 1900 Washington County, Virginia census.
