For Trivettes in the early to mid-1800s, if they lived in Iredell County, North Carolina, they descended from Lazarus.

Lazarus married Sarah Cranfield on November 4, 1823 (25).

He is shown in 1830 with seven people in his household.

Lazarus’ household is shown in the 1840 Iredell census containing ten people.

He is listed in the 1850 Iredell census as 46 years old. Wife Sarah is shown as 50 years old. His son William is shown erroneously as 56 years old instead of 26 years old. There are nine children in his household. Next door is his 24 year old son Andrew and his wife.

In the 1860 Iredell County census, five children remain in his household. Andrew no longer lives next door.

Lazarus died between 1860 and 1870. Widow Sarah is now 71 years old. Daughter Elizabeth is still in her household, as well as a new name, Frances, a 13 year old male, who did not appear in the 1850 census entry. Next door is 38 year old son David with his wife and child.

In the 1880 census, 80 year old Sarah is now living with son David and his wife, presumably his second wife, Tabitha, and 13-year-old son William.
