Clyde Aubra Trivette was born April 6, 1912 in Hager, Lincoln County, West Virginia to Thomas Jefferson Trivette and Cora Keesee Trivette.  He was delivered by midwife Martha Stump (53)

 

Keesee is pronounced kuh zee’

 

He graduated from Ashland, Kentucky High School in 1928 at age 16.

 

He served in the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers during World War II.

 

He married Evelyn Francis Swinney October 17, 1935 in Ashland, Kentucky.  But there was question as to the legality of that marriage since there is no record.  So Clyde and Evelyn married again, officially, on September 5, 1936 in Manchester, Ohio. 

 

They lived above Roberts Furniture/Grocery Store at 1903 13th Street until 1950, when construction on their house at 1500 Beverly Boulevard was completed. 

 

He worked for Armco Steel Corporation, now AK Steel, from June 18, 1929 to October 31, 1976, when he retired as senior engineer of Steam Power.

 

He died at Kings Daughters Hospital in Ashland on September 4, 1993 of glioblastoma.

 

He was my father.
