0111030113 – Walter
Walter was born August 20, 1911 (24). Walter was thought of as a miracle child
since he was conceived one or two weeks before his father, Levi, suffered a
debilitating stoke (person conversation with Walter’s neice).
Walter was a graduate of the University of Kentucky. He served one term in the Kentucky House of
Representatives and had been the principal of Virgie
High School and Belphry High School. He married Aurora Horn on September 20, 1930
in Pike County.
They were both 20 years old, and Walter was a school teacher (45). They had two children, Don and Walter
Lewis. The family moved to Delray Beach, Florida,
where Walter became a school counselor.
He died of a heart attack at age 63.
Don had some form of heart trouble and died at age 44. All four family members are buried in Delray
Beach (personal conversation with Walter’s neice).
Spouse information for Walter’s sons was provided by a
descendant.
