Richard and John Trivette are most likely brothers.  Richard appears on the initial March 30, 1792 membership listing of the Bear Creek Baptist Church in what is now Davie County, North Carolina.  However, on May 4, 1792, Richard was excommunicated for "neglecting to hear the church." (62)

Although Richard does not appear in the 1790 U.S. Census, my guess is he is probably the other male in Solomon Jones' household.

In 1793 Richard, along with brother John and Solomon Jones, signed a petition directed to the North Carolina General Assembly asking for a separate polling location closer to where they and their neighbors lived because the trip to Salisbury was too far and often cut off by high water (27).

Richard and Margaret Tribet are listed in the 1850 Ashe County census in the home of John and Nancy Hathorn, who show their birthplaces as Scotland.  Richard is listed as 83 years old and Margaret is 82 years old.

October 7, 1801, Rowan County Deed Book 18, p.81, shows Peter Glascock Sr. sold to Scarlet Glasscock 150 acres on Howards Branch adjacent to Solomon Jones.  It was witnessed by Richard Trivett and Peter Glasscock Jr. (8)

Richard, John, and Eliza Jones are found in the 1810 Ashe County census and are listed close to each other.
