Greetings: I am compiling information for a book entitled:
"Bibliography of Civil War Manuscripts in the state of Georgia." This book
will list and briefly describe all Civil War manuscript collections held by organizations
in this state. Due to the large number of such organizations, I cannot visit them
all. I need a couple of volunteers to help me with Meriwether County. The task
involves visiting local libraries and museums to check and see if they have any
unpublished Civil War era letters or diaries. After that a brief description of the
item is all I need. In most cases this entire process can be completed in an hour or
two. All volunteers will be credited for their work in the foreword of the
book. This work will be of great importance to historians and genealogist all across
the nation. If you would like to help me, please contact me.

Todd, they lived in Douglas County in 1879-1893, when my great grandmother passed away at the age of 29. I have found in Meriwether Co., GA, land deed for Mary E. Crews, who appeared to be a Grasham before her marriage. Mollie Todd Crews' mother was Mrs. Mary E. Todd (husband unknown) and on the Douglas County land deed she stated she was from Coweta. Do you know any think about any of this family? I have been at a dead end for over five years. My granddaddy Joseph P.
