Information
Greetings!
As part of this year’s
music curriculum, 3rd, 4th, and 5th Graders will be learning to play the
recorder starting in January. The recorder presents a wonderful opportunity to
introduce music reading and appreciation. I hope that by giving the students a
positive, enjoyable learning experience they will be encouraged to develop an
interest in music.
Macie
Publishing Company, the publisher of the recorder materials we will be
using, has made some special pricing available, which is listed below. The CD
contains background accompaniments for all the songs in the Method Book and make
it fun for students to practice.
It is not required that a student
purchase a recorder or the method book. Students may use recorders that they
already have from previous years.
Please have your child return the order
form and money to their homeroom teacher Thursday, December 19th. You may
pay in cash or a check made payable to Nebo Elementary School. Please call or
