The Soul's Windows ~ Spiritual Musings of My Heart
As long as you're in God's heart and He's in yours, you can live each moment to it's fullness.
Even though we're all limited in several capacities, none of us should have to bear more than we're able.
Looking to the cross and accepting that Jesus paid the ultimate price for us to have deliverance from unnecessary hardships, mentally, physically, emotionally as well as spiritually is the only way for us to go.
Life is reaping and sowing, period.
We want to go our own way but don't care for the end that the path leads us.
We want to go now, not wait for a better time, so we end up a cripple, mutilating others in our downfall.
There are paraplegics, who, with God's grace, in spite of the unimaginable hardships, have turned their lives into glory, meeting the challenges that come their way head on.
More often than not, these people are this way because of a reckless lifestyle. They didn't look before they leaped, in other words.
Things can't go wrong for us or because of us, how could they? We're us, we can't possibly live with the thought that we've personally damaged ourselves or others.
Yes, our sins are thrown into the 'Sea of Forgetfulness' but the paths that we've chosen are still there and we have to decide whether we want to let God create a new one according to His knowledge of our own personalities and circumstances that we're in.
Once we've set into motion our lifestyles that have created extenuating circumstances such as family, career choices, etc., we can't necessarily leave these off but must allow God to use them and us in the best way that He can do for us.
We still have to finish this life in as much style as we can muster. We have to fulfill our destiny in the place we've allowed ourselves to be carried to, knowing that we're not alone, He's with us, now and forever.
This life isn't just the here and now, it's looking for a better day and taking as many with us as we possibly can. Eternity is too long for anyone to spend it in darkness and torment, worse than anyone can possibly imagine.
"Forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press towards the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus." Philippians 3:13,b-14 ~ Holy Bible, New Testament
These words were written by one (Paul) who was shackled, with unimaginable disabilities because he decided to follow Jesus instead of persecuting others who did.
It was on the Isle of Patmos as a prisoner for Jesus that John wrote several books of the Bible including The Revelation. He was actually able to see Jesus in that place, that den of horrors.
Look at Joan of Arc, she was treated horribly even unto a public burning death at the stake because she did the will of God and led her people to victory.
These are people who suffered for righteousness, how much more should we suffer when we do wrong?
'To be misunderstood without any explaining' is a motto that I lived by for years, even when I wasn't a pure follower of Jesus.
Once we realize we're not responsible to others thoughts of us, only to what God knows of us, we're free.
'Who the Son sets free, is free indeed.'
The Blood of Jesus covereth a multitude of sin. Eth added to a word means to continue on.
Do you remember the old song, 'O the Blood of Jesus'? Whenever something comes my way that I can't make right on my own, I sing this song, in my mind or outloud, whichever is appropriate. This song has led me out of numerous bad looking situations.
We don't have to understand, we just need to hold His hand.
When we try to save our own lives, we lose them.
Starting at square one and reading the instructions is the only way.
The simple way, doing the right thing, is the hardest for us to start doing, human nature wants tomorrow's goodness today but today's Grace takes care of today.
