Laura Ingalls Wilder

When I was in the fifth grade, I checked out a book at school called, 'The Long Winter' by Laura Ingalls Wilder.
Returning to my desk with the book, a girl that sat close to me said, "That's not a good book, it's really boring."
I took the book home anyhow and found it to be one of the most enjoyable books of my short lifetime.
I am close to 50 years older now and still find these little books by Laura to be the basis of a good library of anyone, adult or child.
I have written a couple of pages about Laura and her books and may do so again, if I do, I'll post them here.
      I give you my Laura.
