Ethel M. Doneghy
Bradshaw, age 83, 232 North Magnolia Street, widow of Abraham Jacob
(AJ) Bradshaw, died 2:30 AM Monday, August 11, 2003 at the James B.
Haggin Memorial Hospital after a long illness. Born November 8, 1919
in Harrodsburg, she was the daughter of the late Ernest Monroe and Carneleus
Kemper Doneghy. She was a retired Corning
Glass Co. employee, a member of the Order of Eastern Star, and a member
of the Centennial Baptist Church.
Survivors include one
son James and his wife Rose Bryant, Harrodsburg; three grandchildren,
three great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, several nieces,
nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by two brothers
Ernest and Richard Doneghy and by a grandson,
Richard Bryant.
Funeral services were
conducted 1:00 PM Saturday, August 16, 2003 at the Centennial
Baptist Church
by Elder J.D. Short, III. Burial was in Maple Grove Cemetery.
Visitation was Friday, August 15, 2003 from 6 until 8 PM and Saturday
after 8:00 AM at the Church. Arrangements were entrusted to Parks Funeral
Home of Harrodsburg.
Active pallbearers were
John Bryant, Sr., Fred Bottoms, James Coffee, George Hudson, Alvis
Johnson, and James Browning. Honorary bearers were
James Williams, Calvin Bedinger, June Christy, and James Robert Payne.
