IN MEMORY OF

GEORGE N. KENDRICK

1922 ~ 2003

George Nunn Kendrick, age 81, Harrodsburg Health Care Center, departed this life at 2:00 AM Monday, February 17, 2003 at the health care center. Born January 12, 1922 in Harrodsburg, he was the son of the late Gaither and Mary Bryant Kendrick, attended West Side High School, was an employee for Lay and Lawson Furniture Store, an Army Veteran of WWII, a volunteer worker at the VA Hospital in Lexington and a member of the Centennial Baptist Church.

          Survivors include a son, William H. (& Pearl) Kendrick, Las Vegas, Nevada, a sister Hattie Kendrick, Harrodsburg, three grandchildren and two great grandchildren and a very special niece Mary Dunn of Harrodsburg and a host of other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Harry, William, and Price Kendrick and John B. Chenault; five sisters, Ada Mae Frazier, Martha Young, Nettie Short, Alice Kendrick, and Ann Tilden Kendrick.

          Funeral services were conducted 12:30 PM Thursday, February 20, 2003 at the Centennial Baptist Church with Elder J.D. Short, III officiating. Burial was in the Maple Grove Cemetery (Sec. G, Single Range, 5th Row from Back, Grave # 10) with Military Rites. Visitation was Thursday, February 20, 2003 from 11:00 AM until the hour of service at the church.

          Pallbearers were Fred Bottoms, James Bryant, Benny Yeast, Charles Dunn, Glenn Walker, and George Hudson.

          Arrangements were entrusted to Parks Funeral Home, Harrodsburg, KY.
