Granville Co, NC Book O, Page 534 6 NOV 1787 Claborn Harris to Harris Ogilvie THIS INDENTURE Made the 6th day of November in the Year of Our Lord Christ One Thousand Seven Hundred & Eighty Seven Between Claburn Harris & his Juda of Granville County in the State of North Carolina of the one part & Harris Ogilvie of the other part Witnesseth that we the sd Claborn Harris & his wife Juda hath for & in consideration of the sum of One Hundred pounds good & lawful money of the State of North Carolina hath bargained sold made & confimed unto to the sd Harris Ogilvie his heirs & assigns forever One hundred & Twenty acres of land be the same more or less lying in Granville County on both sides of Pauls Creek Beginning at Samuel Harris' corner at red oak on Pauls hill turning North to two pines thence by Harris's line forty eight poles to two red Oaks thence his line thirty pole to a red Oak hickory thence by Potters line east to a corner red Oak near the branch thence a direct line to David Harris' line to a white Oak & a sassafras thence along the sd Harris's line to Freemans Corner thence along Freemans line to his Corner pine thence south to a black Jack in the head of a glade thence West forty poles to a black Jack thence North one hundred pole to a black jack thence east forty pole to the beginning To have hold & peaceably to enjoy the sd One hundred & Twenty acres of land be the same more or less with all houses gardens & all other appertaining to the sd land & bargained premises to the only use and behoof of him the sd Harris Ogilvie his heirs or assigns forever from the claim right or title of the sd Claborn Harris or his wife Juda their heirs or assigns or any other person or persons from or under them the sd Claborn Harris & his wife Juda In witness whereof the sd Claborn Harris & his Wife Juda hath set their hands & affixt their seals the day & year above written Sign'd Sealed & Delivered Claborn Harris (Seal) in presence of us Judith Harris (Seal) John Tipet Granvilie County Nov Court A.D. 1787 Claborn Harris ack this Deed to be his act & dded which was ordered to be Registered Truly Regd.
