In the name of God, Amen, I Joseph Thompson of the State of
South Carolina and District of Pendleton, being very sick and
weak in body but of perfect mind and memory do make and ordain
this my Last Will and Testement, that is to say principally
and first of all I give my soul to the Hand of Almighty God
that gave it nothing doubting that I shall receive the same at
the General Resurrection. My body I recommend to the earth to
be buried at the discretion of my executors and as touching
such worldly estate as it has pleased God to bless me with, I
give, devise and bequeath in the folling manner; that is to say
I give Robert Thompson five shillings, Randson Thompson five
shillings, Betty Garner five shillings; Zachariah Thompson
five shillings and Joseph Thompson five shillings (each). The
rest after my debts are paid I leave to Molly Thompson freely
to possess during life, then to be equally divided between my
three younger children, Rebcca, John and Polly. I leave Robert
Thompson and Molly Thompson my true executor and executrix and
I do utterly revoke and disallow all former wills, bequests,
Executors and Executrix and declare this to be my last will and
testament. In witnes where unto I have set my hand and
affixed my seal This Twenty-fifth day of February, One Thousand
Eight and Ten. I leave Molly Thompson my lawful executrix to
make rights to Robert Thompson for Ninety-six (96) acres of
land which he bought of me and has not had rights, through
neglect.
