Peter Watkins seems to be the most elusive brother of the three and a bit of confusion is encountered immediately upon examination of this individual.  According to Amie's research (as well as others'), the Peter that appears in the records of Muhlenberg County, KY is identified as the son of the Peter Watkins that migrated from North Carolina.

I do not pretend to know if this information is correct, primarily because I have not seen any records to support this claim.  But I certainly find the data suspicious, given the fact that the death date of Peter, Sr. and Peter, Jr. is precisely the same in all researchers' data that I see.  I have also seen researcher's claims that state that Peter, Sr. had sons, Peter Jr., Levin, and Mitchell.  I have not seen any records that support these claims, but then again, I'm not a Peter Watkins researcher.  My opinion on the matter is that it is more likely that the Peter Watkins who appears in the early records of Muhlenberg County is the Peter Watkins that migrated from North Carolina.  If there are any records of additional children (i.e., Peter Jr., Levin, and Mitchell), it suggests to me that Peter had a prior marriage to that of Delilah Grice.

For now, information on Peter and his descendants are presented as the research of the sole contributor to this effort (thanks, Amie).  Click here to view an Indexed version of Amie's research to date.
