Ongoing research issues specific to Peter Watkins and his descendants will be presented here.

 

The current issue for discussion is that of Peter Watkins, who married Delilah Grice in Johnston Co., NC. 25 May, 1789.  According to Amie, the (current) sole contributor of information on Peter Watkins - The Peter Watkins who married Delilah Grice is Peter Jr., son of Peter of Edgecombe Co., NC.  However, it should be pointed out that Amie states that the death date of Peter Jr. and Peter Sr. are the same.  She also points out that the marriage dates are the same.  Therefore, one may conclude that there may be no Peter Jr., unless additional records are received that support Aime's data.    Furthermore, it could also be proposed that the Peter who migrated from North Carolina may have been married more than once, and had additional children.  You are encouraged to submit your thoughts (and records) on this matter to the WatkinsRev mailing list, with the Subject title of:  "Peter Watkins Research".  If you are a list member, you already know how to do this.  If you are not a list member and you wish to join, click on the "Discuss Issues" link at the bottom of this page to find out how to join.
