IMPORTANT NOTE: William's burial place is unknown. He died in Fayette County in Dec. 1850, and most certainly is buried somewhere in that county. Since he was a prominent and prosperous citizen, it is probable that his burial site is marked with an engraved tombstone. However, extensive searching of records and cemeteries in Fayette County have not revealed the whereabouts of his grave. His descendants are eager to find his resting place.
