I am researching the lineage of James Milton Reeves of Crawford County, GA, b 1824,
whose father was William Reeves of Fayette County, GA, b 1794, and his father Wiley
Reeves of Fayette County, GA b.1769. Am seeking information about this lineage, in
particularly Wiley and his linkage with his ancestry.
This Reeves researcher is another cousin sharing my name who is researching REEVES
in South London at present. He is interested in the ancestry of Thomas Henry Reeves
b 3/18/1853, whose parents were Steven(Stephen) Reeves and Caroline Reeves nee Cottenden.
This person, who didn't provide a name, is interested in Joseph Harvey Reeves who
came to the West Texas panhandle from Tennessee just after the civil war. He/she
wants to find out about Joseph Harvey Reeves' ancestors.

I am researching a line of Reeves that begins with a William Reeves who emigrated
to the USA in 1880s. With his wife Elizabeth Daly, he had seven children: William,
Ellen, Kathleen, Ivy, Thomas, Christopher and Thomas. They lived in Chicago in the
1940s. I am a descendant of William's brother Christopher Reeves and I live in Ireland
and would like to contact any living Reeves of this line. Please send any information
The James Reeves I am looking for had several children including a son Seeley Reeves.
Seeley and at least some of his siblings were part of the Mormon movement. He ended
up in Missouri. He is listed in some sites as dying in the Civil War. That was another
Seeley Reeves. Mine was in the Civil War but from Missouri militia and is in the
1870 and 1880 census there.
-Seeley Reeves ca 1822 in New Jersey-1893 Missouri, son of James Reeves & Eunice
-James Reeves ca 1790-1795 New Jersey- maybe 1835, maybe died in New York as that
is where his widow remarried about 1836.
