The Protective Covenants are the foundation of an effective Association. Enforcement of the Covenants preserves the common goals of a planned residential community and protects property values. However, a delicate balance exists - in order to benefit the entire community some individual freedoms must be curtailed.

We hope that all property owners recognize the importance of the Protective Covenants and strive to comply with them. If you have not already done so, we urge each property owner to read the Covenants which are available from our web site or an Association officer.

Selected sections of the Protective Covenants are paraphrased below for your convenience:

Plans need to be submitted

Property owners are responsible for obtaining approval from the Architectural Review Board for most changes or improvements to their property. Matters requiring approval include, but are not limited to, the following: new home construction, additions or changes to existing homes i.e., decks, sun porches, enclosures of existing porches, swimming pools, exterior color changes, roofs, installation of satellite dishes, and fences. If in doubt, ask an ARB member or an officer.

Fences

Fences are limited to a height of four feet and cannot be nearer to the front Lot line than the rear building line. If the fence is used to restrict access to a swimming pool, an additional two-foot of lattice has been allowed. Metal fences are not allowed.

Storage of Automobiles, Boats, Trailers and other Vehicles

Boat trailers, boats, travel trailers, inoperative autos, campers, or vehicles of any kind must be stored within the garage or an approved storage facility. They cannot be stored on the street or in your driveway or yard.
