Sitze - Gou

It appears that the most logical way to approach this subject is to do so chronologically. I cannot start with the dogs that I owned in childhood since images of these long lost friends no longer exist. So we start with the dogs that I have images of. This just happens to be the dogs (and not all of them) that I purchased or have bred for the purpose of showing. The dogs that appear on this site do not include all the chows that I have owned over the span of my life. Just the ones that I have images of and some that I exhibited.

My intent for breeding, like anyone whom has approached the art of breeding dogs, and purposes for such actions have evolved over time and through experiential events. My breeding program has been limited to a few individuals simply due to the restrictions that economics entails. I have not the luxury of affording a great kennel of dogs for breeding purposes nor would I presently desire such. So the numbers of dogs here remain limited to my financial capabilities, the sanity as well as the limitations of my wife and I, and also the dogs themselves.

I presently temperament test every litter and attempts are made at keeping "working" type within the temperament genepool that I maintain. I have had and continue to have nationally prevalent individuals seeking chows from Sitze-Gou for obedience competition. We shall see over time if this breeding ethic will prove fruitfull.
