The Sports Report Ranking System calculates the percentage of games that a team would win over time, based on past performance, were it to play an average schedule.

We no longer publish the college football rankings on this site. Fifty most-talented teams for the 2010 season: 1. Southern California (prediction based on talent alone 12-0) The most talent for the fourth consecutive season. 2. Florida (12-0) Extremely strong at every position, especially offensive line, receiver, and quarterback. 3. Texas (12-0) Talent far exceeds the schedule quality. 4. Louisiana State (11-1) A shoo-in with most of the top talent in the state. 5. Ohio State (12-0) Continued recruiting at a high level. 6. Notre Dame (11-1) Inexplicable how this team has lost so many games, given the strong classes and easy schedule. 7. Georgia (11-1) Taking the best of Georgia's talent. 8. Alabama (10-2) Overachieved last season, and still improving. 9. Oklahoma (11-1) Monster incoming class. 10. Michigan (10-2) Still a power in the Big Ten. 11. Miami (Fla.) (11-1) Returning to former glory. 12. Tennessee (8-4) Second year outside the top ten, had been most-talented for a decade. 13. Florida State (9-3) Decline of this dominating program more gradual than recent losses indicate. 14. Penn State (9-3) Remarkable consistency year-to-year. 15. UCLA (10-2) High expectations as program returns to upper echelon of Pacific-10. 16. Auburn (9-3) Record will benefit from easier schedule. 17. Pittsburgh (10-2) Returning to Beast of the East. 18. North Carolina (9-3) Recruiting classes about to pay off. 19. Clemson (8-4) Incoming classes a little weaker two years in a row. 20. South Carolina (6-6) Tough schedule makes this an intriguing team to watch. 21. Mississippi (8-4) Schedule makes eight wins highly likely. 22. Texas A&M (10-2) Consistently solid classes year after year. 23. Oklahoma State (9-3) Schedule features only three games worthy of the talent. 24. Nebraska (9-3) Expectations far exceed the talent level. 25. California (10-2) Falling slightly to in-state rivals but still formidable. 26. Oregon 27. Arizona State 28. Washington 29. Illinois 30.
