Hot Cocoa Cake

Butter

2 Cups

Flour

½ cup

Liquid Oil

1 tsp.

Vanilla

3 Tbs.

Cocoa

1 tsp.

Cinnamon

1 cup

Water

1 tsp.

Soda

2 cups

Sugar (Confectioners)

½ cup

Buttermilk

2

Eggs

 

 

 

 

Heat oil, butter, cocoa, and water. Bring to a boil. Add sugar, flour, cinnamon and soda. Add buttermilk, eggs, and vanilla. Pour in 9” x 13” greased baking pan. Bake at 400° for 40 minutes. Let cool and leave in cake pan.

 

 

 

Icing

 

Ingredients

 

1 block

Butter

1 tsp.

Vanilla

2 ½ Tbs.

Cocoa

1 cup

Pecans

6 Tbs.

Milk

1 Lb.

Sugar

 

 

Melt butter, cocoa, and milk. Stir in vanilla, pecans and powdered sugar. Pour over pre-cooled cake while icing is still hot.
