- Get pre-approved.
If you want to buy, it makes sense to
find out how much you can borrow. If you
get qualified or apply for a loan,
you’ll know how much you can afford,
you’ll strengthen your position as a
buyer, and you’ll have a basis to
compare different loan programs. It also
makes sense to secure a lender’s
commitment as soon as you know that you
want to buy, especially in a hot market,
when houses are selling fast.
Pre-approval can be helpful in
negotiating an offer. Our Keys market is
unique – please consider using a
lender who is knowledgeable about Monroe
County.
- We search new
listings every morning for our buyers.
Give us your e-mail address and we will
send you new properties that meet your
criteria.
- Ask questions.
When was the last time service was
performed on the roof, a/c, appliances,
etc.? What are the sold comparables for
the neighborhood? How deep is the canal?
If we don’t know the answer we will
find out for you. Asking the right
questions now can save you money in the
long run.
- Get a home
inspection. Most of the properties in the
Keys are sold "As is with right to
inspect." Hire a licensed home
inspector during your "As is"
time frame. You will not only learn of
any needed repairs, but will learn a lot
about how things operate in your new
home.
