| Comments: June 30 - Adults were hard to count since they were not always at the nests. Since all ten nests were active, it can be assumed that there were ten breeding adults. Young birds were identified by their dark crowns and lack of head plumes. Nestlings were counted using a 45x viewing scope. The following numbers correspond to the number of nestlings in each nest: One nest 1 young, five nests 2 young, two nests 3 young, and one nest 4 young. In some nests, nestlings were sitting down in the nest, making it hard to determine the number of nestlings. |
