| Comments: March 16 - Only one heron seen on a nest. However, Tony King has been back to the site and seen 8-9 herons. He believes that all or most of these are active nests. April 5 - Most of the nests are in Sycamores, but one was in a nearby white pine. Other Great Blue Herons were in the pines and it is suspected they may be building nests there. * Wes James believes that there are about 20 active nests. It is hard to see through the trees and there is no path to them. |
