History.
   
Farm and pond are on private property adjacent to a sewage treatment plant in northern Murfreesboro about 0.25-mile from the Stones River. The owners said the birds have nested there for about 20 years. The farm pond is slated to be condemned by the city for an expansion to the sewage treatment plant.
