Directions from town to colony: Take Route 53 from Gainesboro east about 2 miles to Route 135 on the right. Turn right on Route 135 and continue about 2 miles to Roaring River Road on the left. Turn left onto Roaring River Road and in about 3 mile the heronry is on the right and back 200 yards.
